Summer 2020 COVID-19 Update
We love summer camp! It gives us the opportunity to form close relationships with campers and staff as we come together to have fun and learn about God. That is why it pains us to announce that our 2020 Summer Camp program is officially cancelled.
It has been well-communicated by health experts and government leaders that in order to keep our families and communities safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, we must socially distance. At summer camp, we are anything but socially distant. We would be hard pressed to carry on with our fun and highly relational summer program without risking the spread of this disease. Therefore, the Tracy’s Camp Board of Directors and Staff have decided to cancel our 2020 summer camp program.
During the last few weeks of quarantine, I have found these words from Daniel 4:34-35 particularly reassuring.
“…for his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom endures from generation to generation; all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does according to his will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him, "What have you done?"
As we learned last summer, God is king over everything, and no one can keep him from doing what he intends to do. This means that even something as scary as COVID-19 cannot keep the will of God from being accomplished; in fact, God will be honored through this pandemic.
We will miss seeing your children at camp this year. Please keep us in your prayers as we seek to honor God during this pandemic.
